Since 1972 the core values of professional conduct, tradition, brotherhood and the love of God, family and country have been the influence of nearly sixty members.  Sherrills Ford – Terrell Fire & Rescue exists to serve the resident’s of the district with dedication to saving lives, protecting property and respecting natural resources.

Responding to calls for over 13,000 residents in an area of 41 square miles with nearly 100 miles of shoreline, this department relies heavily on volunteers and paid staff.  With the growth that is projected in southeast Catawba County, call volume will only increase.  In response, the department has seen fit to hire more paid staff and build new buildings.  The end result?  Starting January 8th, 2008 the district will be covered 24 hours per day 365 days per year.  This is a first for our department and we are looking forward to the positive impact this change will have on the service we provide the community.  For more information please visit the news link to your left.
